    Overview:
    The Northwoods EMS District is a newly established Ambulance Service, serving the Towns of Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, Presque Isle, and Winchester, in Vilas County Wisconsin. The District Board seeks a confident and proactive individual to lead the transition of four individual ambulance services at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level to one unified agency at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level. This position, titled Service Director, will serve as the highest-ranked officer for the District Ambulance Service, overseeing finance, human resources, quality assurance, public relations, billing, staff management, and all operational aspects of the service. The Service Director will also be expected to respond to emergency calls when needed.

    Responsibilities:

    · Lead the transition of four individual ambulance services to one unified agency at the ALS level.

    · Oversee finance, human resources, quality assurance, public relations, billing, staff management, and all operational aspects of the District Ambulance Service.

    · Respond to emergency calls when required.

    · Directly report to the District Board and manage all organizational responsibilities.

    · Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    Required Qualifications:

    · Obtain Wisconsin Paramedic License within 90 days of hiring.

    · Minimum of 10 years of Paramedic field experience.

    · Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience.

    · ACLS certification.

    · Able to use scheduling software, Word, and Excel proficiently.

    · Ability to multitask and perform administrative duties and fieldwork.

    · Establish residency in the District within 90 days of hiring.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · EMS Instructor I & PALS certification.

    · NIMS 100 & 200 certification.

    Wages & Benefits:

    · Salary starting at $101,000 DOQ (Dependent on Qualifications).

    · Additional pay for responding to calls after hours.
