    Title: Medical Clinic Nurse

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    EXPERIENCE: Graduate or clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred. Nursing home setting will be considered.

    EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing

    REQ. CERT. : Current LPN licensure in the state of Kansas.

    REGISTRATION: Successful completion of CPR

    JOB SUMMARY:

    As a clinic nurse your job duties would include assisting providers, rooming patients, setting up for procedures, obtaining patient history, logging medications, prior authorization, patient referrals, and other nursing duties. The LPN will provide maximum practical nursing care within the defined limits of practice. Work requires general supervision, with everyday assignments are carried out with a considerable degree of independence.

    Part-time (24 hrs)

    2 Week Alternating Schedule:

    Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8 AM - 5 PM

    Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday 8 AM - 5 PM, Friday * AM - 12 PM.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Answers patient telephone calls, assessing needs and coordinating needs with providers

    accomplishing appropriate triage as well as returning calls promptly when unable to take calls

    directly. Pertinent or treatment documentation is charted appropriately in the patient's record.

    • Assists providers in the clinic by preparing rooms, and equipment, and during treatment and examination

    of scheduled as well as unscheduled patients monitoring patient flow. Directs providers to

    appropriate protocols of procedure consents, Medicare ABN's, and insurance concerns (i.e. Work Comp, etc.)

    • Notifies providers when patients are ready for examination/treatment, following routine assessment

    of vital signs and medication lists to assure patients are seen in a timely fashion as well as keeping

    rooms full for a consistent flow of patients.
