    Responsibilities


    The Operations Director plans and manages care provided at a PrairieCare site that (in general) consists of three or more separate programs (including PHP, IOP(s) and outpatient clinic) and that has a staff of more than 35 employees and Independent Contractors.

    The Operations Director actively partners with the site's physician leader(s) to provide effective management of both administrative and clinical matters.

    The Operations Director articulates and operationalizes PrairieCare's Vision, Mission and Values on a daily basis and incorporates the organizational values into everyday decision-making.


    Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
    Demonstrates a general knowledge of Psychiatric treatment

    Provides active support for the site and organization's strategic goals; and leads the site in a way that is consistent with the organization's direction and goals
    Responsible for ensuring that site specific targets related to patient census, revenue generation, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction are met, and that patient care is of the highest quality
    Represents the organization in external relationships within the community.
    Responsible for successful recruitment, orientation and training of program staff and may assist the PCMG Practice Manager with the recruitment of Licensed Independent Practitioners
    Assesses the needs of the program and staff and is able to proactively address concerns and drive improvements
    Knowledgeable of Joint Commission and DHS standards and ensures that all programs are operated according to PrairieCare's policies, procedures and Standards of Performance, in addition to The Joint Commission standards, CMS, state and federal regulations, EEOC requirements and insurance contracts provisions
    Responsible for creating an accurate budget, forecasting future needs, and identifying areas for further development and/or improvement of services
    In conjunction with the VP of Operations, the Operations Director is also involved in the development of new sites and programs and may be expected to lead new initiatives

    If the Operations Director is an independently licensed clinician, they may be asked to provide backup clinical coverage within the scope of their licensure and/or provide clinical supervision within the same scope.

    Qualifications

    This position has a stong preference for an MBA
    Considerable healthcare experience as an administrator or clinician, preferably in Psychiatric and Addictions treatment
    Residential specific level of care experience preferred
    Must have previous leadership experience
    Effectively communicate in written and verbal form with program staff, administrators, referents and the public
    Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word and PowerPoint, managing site budget and profit and loss statment
    Ability to physically intervene as needed in accordance with organizaitonal policies and procedures
    Ability to manage a fast-paced environment with complex staffing needs
