Job summary
Clean resident rooms according to schedule make beds sweep dust remove trash change linens and replace soiled items with clean linens and towels check for any insect infestations report if open food is being left out report any odors in the rooms hallways and or common areas clean assigned common areas public restrooms offices as assigned curtains are to be checked for wear and tear report any hazardous situation immediately launder clothing return to resident according to schedule torn or faded linen is to be used for cleaning rags supervise quality maintenance infection control planning scheduling standard procedures writing proper care all types floors walls windows furniture bathrooms disposal of trash from assigned rooms public areas offices maintaining checklist linens housekeeping supplies wing unit rooms take adequate precautions controlling cross infections using universal precautions personal protective equipment keep informed new cleaning agents follow instructions handling potentially hazardous chemicals follow MSDS guidelines report accidental spills contact with chemicals.
