    Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Group Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two full years of childcare experience and at least 30 credits or more in related educational studies and have a passion for working with young children. Our infant program serves babies ages 6 weeks through 14 months & is designed to help them grow & develop in a nurturing, supportive environment. This teacher must qualify as a Group Supervisor (requirements below) and will work collaboratively with the our One-year-old classroom to prepare children for transitions.

    Responsibilities:
    • Work cooperatively with fellow lead teachers & group supervisors to implement center's curriculum and create a nurturing and immersive school environment.
    • Help create a safe and stimulating classroom for children.
    • Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
    • Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
    • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
    • Analyze, summarize, and complete developmental assessments using school materials on a trimester basis.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
    • Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.
    • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or Children and Families
    Requirements:
    • At LEAST 30 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or Children and Families.
    • 2 years of experience in early childcare, childcare, education, or related experience.
    • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs., see, hear and sit on the floor with children.
    • To pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
    • To be of legal age or older and legally able to work in the United States.
    Position Overview:
    • This is a full-time position.
    • Pay ranges from $ per hour depending on degree & years of experience, with an increase reflective of performance after completing your first 90 days.
    • Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK.
    • Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, time-off, sick days, reduced childcare & more.
