    Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to work as a member of the Production Operations organization on advanced product development and manufacturing pursuits.

    The intern will work closely with Production Operations management and Manufacturing Engineers on key projects and efforts which may include the following:
    design for producibility, manufacturing system development, assembly animation, factory planning, manufacturing work instruction development, capital planning, design to cost, rapid prototyping, 3-D printing, and proposal support

    Basic Qualifications:
    Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline

    Desired Skills:
    Ability to interpret engineering drawings/models and performance specsKnowledge of LEAN manufacturing principlesKnowledge/familiarity with model based engineeringExperience in leading projectsExperience in leading teamsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with MRP systems (SAP)

    Ability to Work Remotely:
    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
