    Job DescriptionPro Resources Professional is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our client's team as a Production Assistant Manager. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our client's production department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality parts in a safe and cost-efficient manner while adhering to company standards.     Location: Berne, INShift: 1st and 2nd availablePay: $50-60k
    Responsibilities:
    • Create and maintain controlled documents for department procedures (FMEA, CP, WS, VA, CS).
    • Develop monthly manpower plans and react to deviations from the schedule.
    • Manage weekly overtime schedules.
    • Ensure adherence to safety requirements by all associates.
    • Oversee corrective actions for safety concerns (SCARs) and address root causes.
    • Drive environmental waste reduction initiatives.
    • Promote adherence to ISO 14001 procedures for recycling and waste reduction.
    • Implement strategies to reduce turnover rates.
    • Maintain accurate time and attendance records.
    • Address quality concerns within the department (MNCRs) and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 procedures for work standards and quality regulations.
    • Implement improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
    • Reduce scrap in production processes.
    • Minimize downtime in production operations.
    • Drive initiatives to reduce production costs.
    • Oversee and support departmental Kaizen projects.
    • Plan and ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
    • Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor process cycle times and implement corrective actions.
    • Supervise training programs for associates and conduct performance evaluations.
    • Maintain department cleanliness and organization using the 5C principle.
    • Oversee quality checks and ensure timely completion by all associates.
    • Manage the work request system, ensuring detailed reports and corrective actions.
    • Supervise the daily production schedule and establish reaction plans for deviations.
    • Review daily shift report sheets for accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding associate relations.
    • Possess knowledge and experience of departmental machines, equipment, and procedures.
    • Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and associates.
    • Attend meetings to contribute to departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Undertake additional projects as assigned by management.
    Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements:
    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • Degree in Industrial Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
    Preferred Skills/Experience:
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
    • Basic mechanical knowledge.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Computer literacy.
