- You will specify electrical component and system requirements and lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers.
- You will coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones.
- You will collaborate with hardware design teams, firmware and software teams, and system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions.
- You will conduct root cause analysis during the development, validation, build, and deployment phases for issue resolution.
- You will support the development and execution of system and component-level validation test plans.
- You will work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- At least 6+ years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting
- Experience taking a part or assembly from concept through production, working with external suppliers, and managing deliverables for multiple projects
- Automotive (CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, and other automotive networks), aerospace, or safety-critical industry experience
- Experience with electrical and EMI/C testing
- Knowledge of automotive functional safety (ISO26262) standards
- Firmware / Software experience (managing/developing/testing)
- Experience with chassis and/or electromechanical systems
- Experience using 3DX, Catia V5/V6, Altium (or similar tools) Compensation There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $137,000 to $222,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
