    The Judge Group is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Sioux City, IA area The qualified individual is responsible for oversight of the day to day purchasing ensuring all efforts are made in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assesses, suggests recommendations for, and develops a sourcing strategy and procedures for the implementing best practice standards
    • Manages the daily operations to guarantee that the service and material requirements are met in as effective, efficient, timely, and ethical manner
    • Offers oversight of all additive purchases in compliance with the procurement procedures and policies
    • Identifies optimization potentials and formulates strategies that deliver the greatest total cost of ownership through continuous spend analysis
    • Supports and contributes to cross functional initiatives, projects, and complete process designs
    • Analyzes performance of suppliers and develops improvement actions
    • Creates material groups and buying channels to effectively and efficiently classify and manage volume of sourcing
    • Oversees instruction and training to personnel to provide direction as it relates to all policies and procedures
    • Creates and upholds excellent working relationships cross functionally within the company as well as with external individuals

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree preferred
    • 5+ years of experience
    • Sourcing and procurement experience required (food processing, food manufacturing, are strongly preferred)
    • Best practices and benchmarks knowledge in the procurement and sourcing area
    • Ability to work collaboratively with external and internal individuals
    • Strong time management and planning skills required
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Excellent communications skills.
    • High proficiency level in Microsoft suite; strong ERP background (SAP highly preferred)
