- Experience working on locally administered programs (LAP) projects preferred
- Experience performing CPM scheduling, constructability reviews, claims analysis and other project controls services preferred
- Experience with public wet utilities, IT (Fiber Optics) and private dry utilities by others (UBO's) construction relocation projects a plus.
- Construction Scheduling experience using Primavera P6, MS Projects, and PSP certified (all desired) Construction phase engineering services experience with RFI's, schedules, pay request documentation and monitoring, field verifications of design a plus

This position will be an instrumental managing team member leading and managing existing NC CEI/CMI contracts, and continuing business development and growth strategies for our NC Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) / Construction Management (CMI) Practice for NCDOT and Local NC Governments. Positions may also provide support and resources for adjoining Federal Agencies, State DOT's, and Local Governments in TN, VA, WV, and SC.
Responsibilities:
The Senior North Carolina CEI-CMI Regional Manager will be an integral part of the NC office/offices as a member of the Key Staff Leadership Team. This position is also expected to be an integral member of overall office management team assisting in the planning and implementation of NC and regional growth management strategies including pursuit decisions and proposal preparation assistance. The primary duties will be to manage and lead multiple NCDOT and Local Government CEI /CM projects serving in Responsible Charge Engineer/Project Manager as may be needed; participate in setting the direction and business goals of the Construction Management and Inspection Division in North Carolina, developing strategic relationships and partnerships with both government clients and private engineering firm industry clients in pursuing business opportunities; assist in marketing efforts and business development; procure and hire CEI Technician resources, secure project assignments, manage inspection staff, provide technical training support and mentoring guidance, and provide and maintain technician equipment and resource needs; and in some cases perform services on construction engineering and inspection contracts, including inspection, construction management, engineering support, and on design-build projects; manage employees assigned in the area; review and approve invoices; develop project scopes and manhour and fee estimates; contract reviews, contract scopes/budgets management, and maintain/manage QC/QA program assuring highest quality and deliverable expectations are always maintained. Individual will participate in the planning, design and construction of transportation related projects and must be innovative and adaptive at identifying problems, finding solutions, and developing successful implementation strategies.
Requirements:
Applicant must demonstrate progressive transportation construction management leadership and management experience performing the duties associated with the position, including extensive knowledge of and management of roadway and bridge construction programs/projects, personnel management, and business development. Experience working on North Carolina Department of Transportation programs and projects required. Applicants must possess the following:
