    The Opportunity

    The Senior Production Manager will be the primary interface for chemical production manufacturing and site facilities operations providing financial, site service and project related support within the Hillsboro, Oregon plant operations.

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    • Provide management direction of all phases of chemical manufacturing and facilities operations.
    • Manage and prioritize all production processes ensuring timely execution on all production plans.
    • Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to achieve production schedules while providing daily feedback with team members.
    • Lead efforts in troubleshooting production issues and customer quality problems.
    • Provide formal responses and presentations for customer requests or complaints.
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and problem-solving skills to employees either within the department or through project/process coordination.
    • Lead the development and implementation of all production and facilities operations improvement programs.
    • Provide and ensure operational and process information alignment to other JSR mfg. sites.
    • Contact and approve new and existing suppliers and contractors for process equipment/facilities.
    • Procure quotes from contractors and vendors for projects; prepare and submit project cost estimates.
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g. QC, Warehouse, EH&S) to improve efficiencies.
    • Support development and management of site operating budget. Track and report ongoing department expenditures versus the budget and/or projections.
    • Manage production and facilities team in areas of: Employee Performance, Employee Development, Performance Coaching, Feedback, Compliance, Safety, Efficiencies and Lean Operation projects.
    • Manage all hiring and training within department.
    • Evaluates talent of team and drives actions to address performance development and/or concerns.
    • Assign, scheduled, add, and update preventative maintenance activities through Asset Solutions software.
    • Manage and assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance equipment and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, Chillers, Ultrapure water, Air Compressors, Material Handling Equipment, Electrical and Life Safety Systems.
    • Manage and assist in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns with team to keep downtime to a minimum.
    • Prepare and write Maintenance Operating Procedures as needed.
    • Promotes a safe and environmentally responsible work environment by establishing policies and procedures for a safe and compliant operation.
    About You

    • 12+ Years experience with chemical processing equipment, including pumps, vessels and filters
    • Minimum 8 years supervisory/management experience
    • Proven experience in application of LEAN principles
    • Broad technical knowledge of facility operations, infrastructure and systems
    • Analytical skills related to chemical process data, preferably with semiconductors
    • Statistical process control and design of experiments software experience
    • Safe practices experience in the chemical industry (FMEA, LOTO, Process Safety, HAZWOPER, Emergency Response)
    • Proven experience of mechanical and electrical equipment.
    • Ability to lead discussions and design of experiments software experience
    • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in operations management
    Education Responsibilities

    • BS/MS Chemical or Materials Engineering
