Job Overview
Unified Women's Healthcare is the leading national platform for women's healthcare. Our affiliated practice OBGYN Associates of Central Florida is seeking a Full Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in Orlando, Florida.
• Effectively identifies, evaluate and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
• Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with the physician, other providers and practice manager, which allows for consultation, collaboration or referral. Works in a leadership role with the staff.
• Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic and long-term healthcare issues.
• Educated patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues and the use of prescribed medical treatment and/or medication.
• Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures.
Position Highlights
- • Join established practice with 3 physicians and 3 Advanced Practitioners
- • Work week will vary
- • Call Schedule: 1 weekend per month
- • Care center delivers 40-50 per month
- • Patient volume: 20-25 patients per day
- • Provide pre- and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling
- • Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history

- • AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
- • Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
- • Master's degree in nursing (MS/MSN)
- • One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
- • Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery RN experience
- • Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
- • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
