    Job Summary:


    Hacienda Del Sol Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee all financial operations for our resort in Tucson, Arizona.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within the hotel/hospitality industry, as well as excellent management and leadership skills.

    The Controller is an Executive Committee level position.

    Responsibilities:


    • Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting for the resort
    • Manage and mentor an Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to senior management
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales, reservations, and operations, to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives
    • Manage relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and other partners to support the resort's financial operations
    • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as other financial reports as needed
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to financial activities
    • Participate in strategic planning and decisionmaking processes to support the growth and success of the resort

    Requirements:


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position in the hotel/hospitality industry
    • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and practices
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with team members and stakeholders
    • Proven track record of managing and developing a team
    • Proficient in MS Office and financial management software
    • CPA Preferred
