    Paint Line General Labor- Lead

    • Hang parts on the paint line for painting process.
    • Load/Unload material from the paint line.
    • Maintain organization of jobs/ parts during load/unload process.
    • Perform quality inspections on incoming & outgoing materials & products.
    • Pull tag from job rack/cart or pallet, match it to the job cut sheet to verify job match, initial and date.
    • On occasion, conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed.
    • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
    • Participates in quality improvement efforts.
    • Walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
    • Behavior & conduct: Expected to follow rules and regulations.
    • Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
    • Working 8–10-hour shifts, 6 days a week

    Hilo Requirements

    • Load/remove billets, extrusions, parts, etc.
    • Load/remove items from operating equipment, racks, and transportation vehicles.
    • Complete proper paperwork correctly and sales order numbers
    • Retrieve spaces and racks throughout the plant.
    • Unload billet semi-trucks.
    • Direct the drivers on scrap trailers or items to return.
    • Able to fill out a bill of landings correctly.
    • Other tasks assigned by the manager.

    Leader Requirements

    • Ensure that all crew members are wearing the proper PPE.
    • Immediately report all injuries using the report form
    • Report all potential safety hazards and near-misses to Supervisor.
    • Assist with a problem solve safety improvements.
    • Perform audits as required.
    • Ensure that the schedule is run as posted.
    • Work with the employees and teams on performance improvements for optimal production for the die being run.
    • Report all maintenance issues.
    • Communicate issues/status with the previous shift and with the next shift Supervisor during shift overlap.
    • Coaching, documenting, and performing write-ups if the Foremen/Press crews are not performing responsibilities.
    • Documenting and performing write-ups at contractual point levels

    This job may require the physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting. Continuous lifting to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, and use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a lead role.
    • Minimum of 5 years of working experience with operating Hilo.
    • Hilo certification preferred.
    • Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Must be able to follow directions.
    • Must be able to lift 50 Pounds.
    • Must have steel-toe boots/shoes.
    • Must wear appropriate safety equipment.
    • Must be able to work 8–10-hour shifts.
    • Must be committed to excellence & high standards.
    • Must be able to pay acute attention to detail.
    • Must be able to handle multiple projects & meet deadlines.
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
    • Must have the ability to understand and follow written & verbal instructions.
    • Must be able to speak, read, and write and understand the primary languages(s) used in the workplace.
    • Must be able to stand for 8–10-hour periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be on time & demonstrate regular attendance.
