    Description

    Full time, Monday through Friday position available with hours starting between 8:15 and 8:45am, ending between 5 and 5:30pm. Every 4th Saturday 8:45am to 12pm.


    While protecting private customer and bank information, build customer loyalty with excellent customer service, embrace sales culture, maintains consistency in the Retail and Teller area, customer call loop and other areas as needed.

    Provide a full range of retail deposit and teller services in person and over the phone while fostering a welcoming environment and building customer loyalty with excellent customer service.


    Accountabilities:


    75% Maintain consistency in the Teller line, handling customer account transactions which may include verifying incoming cash, accurately dispersing cash, accepting various deposits and payments, and cashing checks.

    Protect bank assets through adherence to policies and procedures and cross-sell banking products that benefit the customer.

    15% Provide retail banking services both in person and over the phone.

    Manage the necessary paperwork to open and handle a full range of consumer banking products in accordance with established procedures.

    Accurately explain products and services seeking to find the best fit for the customer, recognize opportunities to refer customers to appropriate system-wide resources.

    Seek to build relationships and customer loyalty, look for opportunities, and practice follow through to ensure completeness and accuracy.

    Accurately perform the necessary support functions within the retail area such as ordering, closing, updating and customer inquiries on Elan cards, phone bank data entry, Internet banking and BillPay, account maintenance and ordering supplies.


    When experienced and knowledgeable as a Universal Banker, assist with training new UB's and be available to answer questions from newer UB's on an on-going basis, providing guidance when assistance is needed with a task or a customer.

    Mentor newer UB's on service and sales/referrals, sharing your success stories and experiences. Accountable for daily responsibilities on the line including, but not limited to ATM, Fed buy/sells, end of day duties.

    Also responsible for assisting the UB Supervisor with projects that arise including but not limited to contests, supply orders, check orders, misc.

    Take the lead when the UB Supervisor is not present, leading the line in professionalism, protecting customer and bank information, providing excellent customer service and products to customers that meet their needs while adhering to policies.

    5% Actively participate in a team environment to support the service style of banking at First Bank Elk River. Work with co-workers and management to build and sustain this high level of service for our clients.

    Act as backup for other personnel as needed; assist in bank opening and closing procedures as needed, other special projects as assigned.

    5% Continue individual professional development for the achievement of these objectives. Report to work as scheduled and assist with other duties as assigned.

    Experience Desired:


    • Previous teller experience
    • Previous sales experience

    Special Requirements:


    • Ability to remain stationary in a restricted workspace on Teller Line for up to 50% of a normal work shift.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand more than 50% of normal work shift, walk, use hands to type, carry, handle and feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Proven ability/skills in providing positive service experience to customers/clients

    Work Environment

    Position operates in a professional office environment. Role routinely uses standards office equipment such as computers, copy machines, telephones, fax machines, and filing cabinets. Noise level in work environment is usually low to moderate.
