Spherion is seeking Part-Time Janitors for locations in Bay City and Saginaw, MI As a Part-time Janitor, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various commercial spaces during after-business hours. Hours are from 6pm-whenever finshed each day and this makes a great supplemental job for those seeking something in the evening hours Compensation is $12/hr to start. This is a temp-hire opportunity after a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated as well as a positive work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for employees and visitors.
• Dusting and wiping down surfaces, including desks, tables, countertops, and fixtures, to remove dirt, dust, and grime.
• Thoroughly vacuuming carpets and rugs in offices, meeting rooms, and other designated areas to eliminate debris and dirt buildup.
• Utilizing floor cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and polishers to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hard floor surfaces.
• Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables from designated areas, ensuring proper waste management and adherence to recycling guidelines.
• Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items in restrooms and common areas as needed.
• Following established safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while performing janitorial duties.
• Performing routine maintenance on cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.

Skills:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a background check.
• Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work flexible hours.
• Reliable transportation to travel between different work locations.
