- Provide first assist to the Cardiovascular & Thoracic (CVT) surgeon on heart cases.
- Perform required procedures including chest wall/pleural procedures, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA Catheter placement.
- Apply required skills in General Surgery for adult, pediatric, neonate, and trauma cases.
- Manage cases involving gastroschisis.
- Address approximately 2 patient encounters per shift.
- Required Board Certifications: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery.
- EMR Systems: Athenahealth, Cerner.
