    JOB SUMMARY:


    The Project Engineer ensures the timely and budget-friendly completion of water resource capital projects involving coordinating pre-construction, construction, and commissioning projects.

    Operating at a high level, the Project Engineer will work independently on multiple projects and may provide limited supervision to support staff.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Oversees construction projects for multiple regulated utility capital projects within water infrastructure.
    Prepares, monitors, and reports on project schedules and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.

    Coordinates internal and external resources to complete assigned projects within pre-construction, construction and commissioning activities within Operations, Environmental Quality, and Asset Management.

    Ensures quality control and inspection standards are met, implementing corrective measures as required.
    Coordinates field changes with appropriate engineering personnel.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    2-5 years of construction management experience on public works or utility projects involving water infrastructure including potable water and wet utilities (pumps, wells, etc.)
    Ability to read construction plans, understand plans, and work with inspectors managing projects from design to closeout.
    Familiarity with project management software (Bluebeam), excel, and MS Project is desirable.
    Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or Environmental engineering, or in construction management or a related field.
