    Description

    Summary

    Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information.

    The primary purpose of this position is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair single and multiple fuel heating boilers, and associated auxiliary equipment, pollution control equipment, hot air furnaces, and similar equipment systems.

    Duties

  • Starts, operates, adjusts, and stops single or multiple fuel power boilers and auxiliary, pollution control, and other equipment in a steam or high temperature water boiler plant
  • Maintains, repairs, and tests a variety of complex equipment and systems
  • Performs Journeyman-level system maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of chemical feed and boiler/cooling tower blow down equipment. Plans and lays out installation, repair, and/or modification of a variety of complex equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoots single and multiple fuel power boilers and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment
  • Utilizes established safety practices, rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain safe and clean work environment
