The role of the Materials Manager is critical to the organization and will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional groups to assure alignment and synergy in the overall planning. Managing a team to ensure balance and coordinate the workloads and responsibilities of the employees within the Materials Planning/Scheduling function to support Plant level metrics, Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Planning and inventory control / Formalize cycle count process. Report out counts and be accountable for accuracy / corrections.
• Through the analysis of forecasts and marketing information, master production schedules for anticipated materials requirements.
• Ensure that all personnel (import/export warehouse, planning, Intercompany Customer Service Reps) receive appropriate training.
• This applies to new training as well as ongoing training.
• Manage and evaluate activities and performance of personnel (import/export warehouse, planning, Inter-company Customer Service Reps) providing appropriate advice, counsel, and guidance.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years in Materials Management, supply chain, or logistics, with a focus in manufacturing environments
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least (3) three years of hands-on experience leading and managing teams in materials planning, procurement, and inventory control, with a focus on direct people management.
• Experience working with various supply chain software systems, including ERP and MRP systems.
