    The Kidney Care Center, located in Hobbs, NM, is a 16-chair hemodialysis center. We also offer Peritoneal Dialysis for patients. Our Schedule is Monday-Saturday. Closed on Sundays. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician to join our healthcare team. The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician will be responsible for performing hemodialysis treatments and providing support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

    The hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 5am-5pm

    How you will change lives

    As a CCHT Patient Care Technician at The Kidney Care Center, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working with RNs, LVNs and other PCT's to care for patients living with kidney disease.

    What you will be doing

    Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include:

    • Set up and operate hemodialysis equipment according to prescribed protocols and procedures.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure that the treatment is progressing safely and effectively.
    • Administer heparin as ordered by the healthcare team.
    • Evaluate patients' responses to treatment and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff or physician.
    • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during the treatment.
    • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of hemodialysis equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
    • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
    • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs.

    Teamwork. You'll be a critical member of an interdisciplinary team to provide all required patient assessment and care planning activities. You'll also make sure center staffing requirements are met at all times under the direction of the Administrator and according to state regulations for staffing ratios.

    Safety & Quality. Working as a CCHT/PCT, you'll adhere to all company policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations. You'll participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.

    What we are looking for

    • Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) through a recognized national certification program.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hemodialysis patient care.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
    • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.

    • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
    • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
