- Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational activities
- Provide cost-effective educational services
- Act as a resource for staff and supervisory personnel
- Assist in evaluating and testing staff competency
- Support department safety functions
- Coordinate regulatory clinical educational activities
- Ensure accurate documentation of educational activities
- Organize BLS classes and manage the BLS program
- Identify learning needs of patient population
- Create and evaluate patient educational programs
- Ensure patient education materials are suitable for diverse populations
- Develop community education and wellness programs
- Conduct staff development inservices
- Stay updated on patient education trends and collaborate with external resources
- Develop educational classes for the community
- Act as the main contact for school affiliates and Clinical Rotations

Position Overview:
This role involves coordinating and supporting clinical education services for the Medical Center in collaboration with nursing and ancillary departments. The main responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to ensure compliance with standards and requirements. Additionally, the role encompasses overseeing patient and community health education services and wellness programs.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a School of Nursing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Recent experience in Medical/Surgical or Critical Care
- Experience in adult teaching
- Bilingualism (English/Spanish/Vietnamese/Chinese) desirable
- BSN required, Masters preferred
- Current California RN License
- Current BLS Card
- CPR Instructor certification within six months of hire
