Description

About the Department:
Palliative Care Services, based at the Olivia Newton-John Centre, provides specialist palliative care to patients with cancer and any other life limiting illness. This includes via a 24-bed specialist inpatient Palliative Care Unit, a Palliative Care Consultancy service to the acute inpatients of the Austin Hospital, a specialist Palliative Care Clinic, a Palliative Care acute community inreach services (with visits to patients' residence or residential aged care facility), and liaising with Community Palliative Care Service providers for ongoing care.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant. This fixed term role may include inpatient Consultancy, Palliative Care acute community inreach services to patients' residence or residential aged care facility, participating in the Saturday roster, and other aspects of the Palliative Care service as required. This is a great opportunity to ultilise and develop advanced practice palliative care nursing skills in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
