    Description
    Lead Electrical Engineer - Aviation & Federal Global Practice

    Do you want to guide a team of talented engineers while staying connected to the market pulse?

    This position offers a dynamic blend of leadership and technical expertise. You'll lead our Aviation& Federal Global Practice's Electrical Department (approx. 10 direct reports), ensuring top-notch quality in designs and deliverables.

    You'll also dedicate a portion of your time to business development or technical support, keeping you engaged with the market and fostering client relationships.


    Leadership & Team Development:
    Champion a culture of excellence by setting high standards for electrical and low voltage design.
    Mentor and coach your team, providing constructive feedback and fostering growth.
    Proactively address performance issues and project quality concerns.
    Manage workload and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.
    Hold mid-year and year-end performance reviews, contributing to the department's overall success.

    Technical Expertise & Project Management:
    Serve as a technical advisor, offering senior-level insights and project evaluations.
    Assist in establishing project goals, milestones, and procedures.
    Coordinate project resources and monitor progress across the company.
    Manage staff utilization and track progress towards individual billability goals.

    Collaboration & Business Development:
    Support sales and marketing efforts by assigning staff to proposals, presentations, and related tasks.
    Partner with Regional Office staff on development, quality control, and resource coordination.
    Leverage your experience to contribute to business development, building strong client relationships.

    Essential Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
    Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
    Demonstrated leadership and/or management experience.
    Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
    Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation abilities.
    Licensed Professional Engineer (strongly preferred).
    Prior Consulting experience (strongly preferred).
