    JOB SUMMARY
    This position involves promoting company products and services, and fostering relationships with both new and existing accounts. The primary aim is to help Sysco clients thrive while reaching set sales and profit targets. This role may involve working unconventional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to ensure customer needs are met effectively.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop new business, retain existing accounts, and minimize lost business to drive profitable sales growth within the assigned territory.
    • Identify and evaluate potential clients based on company account goals.
    • Understand customer requirements and offer tailored product mixes and services.
    • Keep abreast of market trends, suggest products to customers based on their needs and objectives.
    • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings to provide value-added services to clients.
    • Address customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and usage.
    • Offer product information and hands-on training to customer staff.
    • Drive to customer accounts, events, and meetings using a personal vehicle.
    • Manage deliveries according to the transportation department's schedule; troubleshoot any order-related issues promptly.
    • Participate in company events, promotions, customer visits, and activities.
    • Attend general sales and district meetings.
    • Engage in continuous training sessions.
    • Assist in training new hires when needed.
    • Review daily and weekly reports such as special orders, customer bids, and sales data.
    • Handle administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets, reports, processing credits, and maintaining records.
    • Other duties may be assigned as needed.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR HSD/GED and 3 years of experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales, or equivalent relevant experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Fluency in more than one language
    • Background in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or Chef Experience is a plus

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Current automobile insurance meeting specific liability limits


    Requirement

    • Pass pre-employment screening (Drug Screen, Background Check).
    • Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
    • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the territory's geographical vicinity.
