    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:


    Maintains medical record integrity and supports patient care and the billing process by filing retrieving and releasing confidential information in compliance with California Hospital Association guidelines CHW guidelines state and federal laws.

    This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • One-year experience in a clerical position required
    • Computer experience and be comfortable learning new programs
    • Knowledge of alphabetic and terminal digit filing systems
    • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with other department employees of all levels written and verbal
    • Ability to effectively communicate with upset patients and demanding physicians in a professional manner
    • Capable of making independent decisions within the scope of assigned responsibility
    • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with frequent interruptions
    • Good telephone skills including patience and professionalism
    • Willingness to embrace change

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in related position in healthcare desired

    Pay Range
    $ $25.97 /hour
