    Our team is looking for a solid analyst to join our Medicare and Retirement Organization supporting our efforts in measuring the effectiveness of the healthcare our organization provides and submitting those measurements to federal agencies that rate health care plans.

    You'll be joining a team responsible for supporting the operational functions of the annual chart chase and your responsibility will be to assist in building out enhancements to our central application, supporting the development of enhancements, testing the enhancements, and then supporting the system functions through the operational period.

    You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Work with business partners in the design and development of products that deliver operational efficiency during chart chase
    • Interact with multiple teams and roles seamlessly, communicating effectively
    • Translate business partner requirements into consumable format for Engineering consumption
    • Review, reconcile, and troubleshoot issues submitted by business partners during chart chase to support operational excellence
    • Content Subject Matter Expert for Quality Solutions Platform functions
    • Perform data analysis using Standard Query Language (SQL)
    • Adhere to standard operating procedures defined for operating group
    • Attend agile ceremonies as needed, including demos where may be asked to confirm technical development meets business requirements
    • Plan work annual activities and provide status on progress as needed
    • Lead functional areas of ownership and influence decision making and direction of product strategy as needed

    Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience.


    Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
    • 2+ years of experience in the Healthcare Industry
    • 2+ years of experience with data analysis using SQL
    • 2+ years of experience in agile methodology and tools, specifically defining desired business outcomes
    • 2+ years of product support (triage and analysis of tickets, reporting progress/resolution to customer)
    • Proven intermediate to advanced proficiency in all MS Office Suite programs (Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills to include the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence
    • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills to include the ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others
    • Reside in the US

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Intermediate experience with SSIS/ SSDT
    • Intermediate experience ETL processes
    • Intermediate experience with User Interface applications
    • Understanding of modern data warehousing tools, preferably cloud based
    • Comprehensive knowledge of HEDIS or other national health care quality reporting standards
    • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with Tableau and Data Visualization

    • Ability to work multiple projects at one time and maintain all project timelines
    • Ability to work with all levels of leadership (front line to Vice President)
    • Ability to communicate via email clearly and concisely

    • Ability to discuss and resolve issues surrounding requirements alongside business partner with little to no assistance
    • Ability to have a positive and productive working relationship with business partners
    • Ability to manage own time efficiently and effectively
    • Ability to clearly communicate expectations and deliverables
    • Ability to understand how to gather data or perform analysis
    • Ability to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
    • Ability to learn new technologies
    • Ability to work as a team player and with minimal guidance. Seeking guidance only on the most complex tasks

    Washington Residents Only:
    The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
