- Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with moderate complexity.
- Manage the team and plan all construction sequencing to achieve project goals.
- Lead all aspects of the company's safety culture and demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment.
- Investigate safety incidents and retrain staff as needed.
- Provide management of subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
- Manage and oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO.
- Lead various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
- Create, manage, change, and implement the project's schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Track and monitor project budget and costs using project management system cost reports.
- Communicate key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and other departments.
- Follow the project filing and documentation organization system.
- Update drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks.
- Support the MOC (Material and Other Costs) and DLSC (Dunn Logistics Service Center) procurement and approval processes.
- Assist in the selection of formwork, tools, and equipment for self-perform operations.
- Manage timecard approval process to ensure accurate reporting of hours.
- Ensure quality compliance through the use of specifications and quality standards.
- Participate with field operations leadership and the project team in project pre-planning.
- Negotiate with the owner and architect for project changes.
- Prepare and present for all project review meetings.
- Participate in project buy-out meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
- Identify and recruit top talent.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred).
- 8+ years of commercial construction experience.
- 5+ years of field supervision experience.
- Experience with Lean principles.
- Demonstrated success in simultaneously leading multiple large or complex commercial construction projects.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects with a value of $50M+.
- Ability to apply fundamentals of construction management to projects.
- Proficiency in project management and accounting software (Intermediate).
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Intermediate).
- Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy (Intermediate).
- Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity (Intermediate).
- Knowledge of layout skill (Advanced).
- Knowledge of crane flagging and rigging (Advanced).
