Job summary
The Pharmacist reviews all medication orders received from Physicians and Physician Extenders and dispenses medications after assuring that drug, dose, frequency,and route of administration are appropriate. Reviews patient allergies, past medical history,
drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing
medications.
- The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy
and safety in the medication use process. - The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care
& discharge planning.
