POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a proactive engineer with expertise in mold design and plastic forming technologies. The role involves managing mold development, procurement, and validation to ensure the use of cutting-edge technologies. Your focus will be on designing, producing, and maintaining molds for optimal performance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead mold development and maintenance initiatives across Engineering, Manufacturing, and vendors
Research and implement technologies for enhanced mold repair and construction
Troubleshoot mold issues and collaborate on design enhancements
Drive Continuous Improvement through new technologies and processes
Engage with vendors to introduce innovative methods and materials
Support manufacturing in process enhancement

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
10+ years' experience in Injection molding with tool design focus
Hands-on experience in mold design and construction
Proficiency in 3D modeling software and Moldflow analyses
Expertise in mold materials and manifold systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in team collaboration and communication
Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and polymers
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Travel is required based on business needs
