Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in New York, NY. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
Manage planning, testing, execution, and communication of software releases
Collaborate with development team to understand book of work and assist with quality engineering efforts
Automate test scenarios and execute
Ensure software releases are compliant from an enterprise and regulatory perspective and quality of product is maintained without compromise
Work closely with development QA team in order to understand automation opportunity and convert those opportunities into small wins
Responsible for manual and automation test creation, automation test maintenance and execution of test scripts with a focus on automating new functionality, pre-release, and post-release maintenance, or driving efficient testing in other areas
Responsible for identifying and improving the quality, capability, and efficiency of the testing release process
Partner with Business and Technology teams to define and implement target state business processes for pre-trade, trade capture, and deal booking with improved data quality and completeness for front office as well as enterprise consumers
Drive complete end-to-end initiatives to implement lean QA processes that can be leverages across LOBs to support faster releases turnaround


Requirements:
Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle/ Software Testing Life Cycle (SDLC/STLC) and their interrelationships
Experience in Release management documentation
Experience in Manual and/or Automation testing
Experience in development in any object-oriented programming languages
Experience in defect tracking and test management tools like Client Quality Centre (QC), JIRA
Excellent communication skills
Motivated, Self-Starter and Organized
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Exposure to Global Markets in financial asset class
Significant hands-on experience in release management, release co-ordination, release documentation, release preparation, release verification, and manual/automation QA testing
Proficient in automation; creating and working on automation framework using python/Java and selenium


Pay Range:
$ $69.60
