    Description

    The Tax Accountant is an integral part of the income tax compliance team and will assist in preparation of separate federal income tax returns, preparation of state income and/or franchise tax returns, preparation of federal and state estimated tax payments and preparation of foreign components of the federal return.

    • Prepare and review federal 1120 tax returns including forms and supporting workpapers
    • Calculate federal taxable income by legal entity on a quarterly basis in order to prepare estimates and extension
    • Prepare of all foreign components of the federal tax return - Informational Returns for Foreign Disregarded Entities (Form 8858), Controlled Foreign Corporations (Form 5471), Certain Foreign Partnerships (Form 8865), International Boycott Report (Form 5713), as well as Country by Country Reporting (Form 8975)
    • Participate in quarterly tax calls with foreign entities to discuss foreign tax provisions as well as current tax events within their respective countries
    • Prepare and review state income and franchise tax returns for various states
    • Prepare and review state tax estimates and extensions on a quarterly basis
    • Calculate state and local tax apportionment factors. This includes gathering information and utilizing excel using Power BI to manipulate data and present it in a way that is correct for all state filings
    • Prepare NOL analysis on a quarterly basis for the DGX entities. This analysis is summarized and assessed to be recorded in our financial statements, 10Q and 10K

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree (Accounting preferred)
    • CPA preferred/masters in tax nice to have

    Required WorkExperience:

    • A minimum of 0 -1 years of relevant major accounting firm and/or in-house corporate experience

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of accounting systems and income tax compliance software, as well as RIA, BNA or CCH tax research software
    • Familiarity with CorpTax income tax compliance software and/or PeopleSoft general ledger software is a plus

    Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail, time management, including the ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
