    Description

    This job opportunity is brought to you by tk1sc, a WSP USA company, which is looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer for their Riverside, CA office. The positions in Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego, CA will also be taken into consideration.

    The selected Associate Electrical Engineer will provide support to technical teams, engineers, and project managers for various phases of utility, industrial, and commercial projects in both public and private sectors. The role involves tasks such as research, design, concept development, and construction of power distribution systems, renewable energy projects, and protection and control systems across different contexts including utilities, transportation, buildings, and government projects.

    Your Impact

    • Collect, compile, and analyze data on substation components
    • Perform electrical engineering work related to designing single line diagrams, grounding grid design, and more
    • Offer technical assistance on design requirements and equipment sizing
    • Work with cross-functional teams on project execution
    • Understand and adhere to industry standards for design and safety

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • 1-3 years of relevant post-education experience
    • Understanding of electrical engineering principles and design/build processes
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficiency in technical writing and office automation software

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Engineer in Training Certification
    • Prior design experience
    • Active participation in professional practice organizations

    WSP USA offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement savings, and more. The expected salary for this position across all locations is $72,200 - $108,400. WSP USA provides compensation based on several factors and reserves the right to offer additional benefits.
