- Assist Site Coordinator in developing and implementing daily academic intensive instruction
- Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions as requested
- Assist the Site Coordinator in the following areas:
- Direct instruction of students
- Recreational activities
- Snack time preparation and distribution in absence of other assistant personnel
- Maintenance, setup and cleanup of the physical facility, restroom, grounds, equipment and supplies
- Follow school discipline procedures
- Train and supervise student helpers
- Develop and maintain a procedures manual as it pertains to this position
- Properly use ergonomics in the course of the job
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance
- Willingness to perform routine and repetitive work
- Maintain neat, clean and safe working conditions
- Maintain neat, clean and safe working conditions
- Perform work as part of a team or alone, as directed
- Willing and eager to substitute for the Site Coordinator during absences
- Perform other related duties as assigned, requiring essentially the same effort, skill, and responsibilities when work requirements are changed or modified
- Participate in job related and in-service meetings, as requested
- Attend staff meetings, as directed
- AA degree or Paraprofessional certificate preferred, minimum of high school graduation or equivalent
- Possession of valid California drivers license
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Current TB test
- Computers and technology
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
- Basic mathematical principles - prefer proficiency in Algebra
- Instruct students with computer software, internet, and websites
- Relate well to children, parents, and staff
- Work cooperatively with parents, students, and staff
- Understand, respect and be sensitive to diverse socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds
- Coordinate/plan enrichment activities with guidance from the Site Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
The After School Site Coordinator is responsible and accountable for implementing all aspects of the After School program on a specific campus.
The After School Site Coordinator will manage the programming and scheduling of after school classes on a specific campus and track after school program attendance and billing.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The After School for Everyone (SAFE) program is funded by the California Department of Education and is part of a Siskiyou County consortium, facilitated by the Siskiyou County Office of Education (SCOE), and locally funded via matching funds by a variety of methods.
After School Program activities include:
integrated academic assistance and enrichment; English language assistance; technology applications; recreation and sports; applied nutrition and health education; and fine and folk arts
Intended outcomes are to:
improve academic achievement in reading and math; increase school attendance; decrease use of alcohol, drugs, and/or tobacco; increase use of computer technology; decrease juvenile crime; provide intensive cross-age tutoring training and services; and plan for project sustainability.
