- Proficient in the set-up and turnover of surgical cases while maintaining efficiency.
- Anticipates the surgeon's needs during procedures to expedite operations.
- Collaborates with staff to ensure instrument and supply readiness.
- Assists with circulating duties under nurse supervision and handles medications at the surgical field.
- Participates in quality control standards and performance improvement activities.
- Provides support to FHMG Surgical providers.
- Demonstrates expertise in surgical asepsis, anatomy, and operative techniques.
- Assists with visualization of the operative site and maintains hemostasis and closure of body planes.
- Applies appropriate wound dressings and assists in securing drainage systems.
- High school diploma
