    Description

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct care and hands-on assistance to individuals, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
    • Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by RN, mobility, and transfers using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
    • Offer emotional support and companionship to individuals, collaborating with the care team to document and keep care plans up-to-date.
    • Maintain the rights and dignity of individuals at all times.

    Previous experience and familiarity with aging adult care are preferred. Knowledge of basic healthcare principles and practices, understanding of resident rights and regulations in healthcare settings, and experience in hospice care are also advantageous.

    Required skills and qualities include proficiency in providing personal care services, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, compassionate and patient demeanor, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstration of position commitment, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
