    Trinity Episcopal School seeks an experienced, technologically-astute teacher to fill the positions of Middle School English Teacher (either 5/6th or 7/8th) . The full-time, 10-month position includes a comprehensive benefits package along with all school year holidays. The teacher reports directly to the Middle School Division Head.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Teaching and creating innovative, student-centered curriculum in a collaborative, multidisciplinary English/social studies classes
    • Collaborating closely in a co-teaching position with the social studies teacher.
    • Focus on active reading and decoding of language
    • Understanding of how to foster a text-based discussion in a seminar format
    • Teaching analytical writing, revision, and editing
    • Integration of public speaking, presentation, and publication skills into lessons
    • Serving as an advisor to a small group of Middle School students
    • Supervision of extracurricular activities including class trips
    • Supporting the Mission of the school and its leadership
    • Integrating technology and research-based pedagogy in the classroom
      • Work with Learning Support team to integrate accommodations into teaching and assessment for those students with accommodations
      • Communication with parents on successes and challenges of students in advisory and students in English classes
