    Job Description:

    Storytime Early Childhood Educational Center, a premier early learning facility located in Glenview, IL, is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

    Responsibilities:


    •Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive educational curriculum in line with early childhood education best practices.


    •Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.


    •Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.


    •Foster a positive learning environment that promotes mutual respect, empathy, and a sense of community among students.


    •Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, needs, and daily activities.


    •Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.


    •Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with classroom assistants and support staff.


    •Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.


    •Adhere to all state licensing requirements and center policies.

    Requirements:


    •Current Early Childhood Teaching Certification.


    •Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood education setting.


    •Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.


    •Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


    •Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.


    •Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
