Overview

NV5 is actively recruiting a GIS Analyst who possesses sound expertise in geospatial technologies and analytic methodologies. The position is located at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA. The analyst must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. The analyst must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.

Due to federal contract requirements, the candidate must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining required security clearance>

Work Environment:

• Location: Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA
• Full-time onsite
• Travel < 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Edit data and create maps using ArcGIS products.
• Create Map Apps, Dashboards, etc. using ArcGIS Portal.
• Utilize GPS technologies (survey, resource, or mapping grade precision requirements shall be specified in the task order), traditional land surveying technologies (e.g., Total Station), remote sensing technologies (e.g., Range Finders) or other data collection technologies.
  • Experience with Trimble surveying equipment and ArcGIS Field Maps a plus.
• Develop cartographic map products, reports, and data inventories.
• Provide reliable customer service when dealing with users requesting maps or other GIS data related products.
• Interact with external clients in technical solution development and providing technical assistance.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure a high degree of data consistency, integrity, and accuracy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three years of experience using Esri ArcGIS software to manage and analyze data
• Experience in technical writing
• Excellent communication, team-work and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with web-based mapping applications
• QA/QC experience
• U.S. Citizenship required to comply with government contracts

Experience/Skills Preferred (in addition to requirements):

• Bachelors Degree in Geography, GIS, or related field
• Professional certification in Geographic Information Systems
• 3 years or more applying GIS to natural resource management
• Familiarity with relational database management systems and enterprise environments

Competencies & Skills:

• Ability to work well within a team/hybrid environment
• Ability to apply creative solutions and strong problem-solving skills
