- Assess and monitor the condition of critically ill patients, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and respiratory function.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis, ECG monitoring, and bedside ultrasound.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide advanced nursing interventions, such as mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy, as needed.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status, initiating appropriate interventions and notifying the healthcare team of significant findings.
- Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in patient and family education, providing information about treatment options, prognosis, and self-care strategies.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and organizational policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with experience in critical care nursing preferred.
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment and prioritize patient care needs.
