    Who we are looking for


    State Street Global Technology Services (GTS) – Bionics is seeking a skilled and proven Data Engineer, VP to architect, design, develop, and support multiple solutions within Bionics.

    The candidate will be required to have a proven track record of delivery of technically advanced solutions in support of multiple, simultaneous initiatives which span multiple disciplines and business lines.

    The candidate should have the ability to quickly get a solid understanding of existing and future State Street business, application and infrastructure environment.

    What you will be responsible for

    As a Data Engineer - Bionics, Vice President, you will

    Guide global teams and contribute to the design, development, and support of complex Data Engineering projects.

    Consult with the business unit as needed to analyze requirements and identify the optimal technical solution to fit within existing technologies and comply with overall strategic direction.

    Ensures clear and concise expression of design decisions to development, business teams, and senior IT management.
    Proactively ensures minimum delays in systems deliverables, and focuses on performance optimization for the total system.

    Provide technical subject matter expertise in addressing complex projects and issues that encompass a wide range of internal and external systems, components, and processes.

    Develop a fundamental understanding of Bionics' products and the client's end-to-end business requirements, relationships, data, and dependencies.

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
    10+ years of proven experience
    Additional requirements

    Prior work experience in a financial company is a plus.

    Experience in any of the following is a plus: ETL/ELT, data warehouse design, DB design/data modeling, web services (REST API), MQ, streaming data processing, and microservices.

    Experience with big data skills (Hadoop, Apache stack), Cloud native DB (Databricks, Snowflake), and visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI) is a plus.

    Experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus
    Core analytics skills such as data mining or data analysis are a plus.

    Salary Range:
    $100,000 - $167,500 Annual

    The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
