    Manpower in partnership with Transportation Technology Company in Marietta, GA is looking for a Senor Estimator
    • Direct Hire Permanent PositionPay: $75 $90k/yearThe Senior Estimator is an integral part of the construction process and ensures competitiveness, profitability, and growth.
    The Senior Estimator is responsible for cost estimates for various technology construction projects .


    Supervisory Responsibilities:


    May perform occasional supervisory functions as a backupDuties/Responsibilities:Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for EstimatingDevelop and prepare complete cost estimates for Labor, Materials, OH per projectPrepare bills of material and other information for use by Construction, Purchasing, and AccountingWeekly/ As needed pre-bid and pre-con meetings with ConstructionSite visits as needed for pre-bid meetings as neededPerform field take-offs/evaluations for project estimate preparationReview project documents for accuracy and consistencyAssist construction personnel throughout the project life cycle in tracking and understanding cost estimatesPreparation and submission of Change OrdersFollow-up at the end of projects to evaluate bid accuracyEssential functions of the position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location.

    Develop RFQs from vendorsAssist other members of the Estimating team with cost estimates and bid package preparationAssist in the review and evaluation of Estimating staff performanceParticipate in a team approach to most estimates and work with other estimatorsPerforms other duties as assigned.


    Required Skills/Abilities:
    Excellent analytical skills.
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Thorough understanding of cost accounting conceptsProficient with Microsoft Office 365 applicationsExcellent written and oral communication skills.

    Knowledgeable of national, state, and local building codes and technology standardsAble to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, technology, etc.

    plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals, and other relevant documentsKnowledge of products and methods of installation in traffic signal constructionExperience developing estimates with HeavyBid specifically or other similar software such Accubid, Bluebeam, etc.

    Team playerSelf-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time while working independently either in the office or remotelyEducation and Experience:7-10 years of Construction Estimating experience with expertise in transportation and/or Electrical workExperience in MEP design-build and conceptual budget pricing requiredField Project Management experience preferredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field; a combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of a degree

    Physical Requirements:
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift to 20 pounds occasionally.
