    Job Duties


    This Deputy Clerk (Grade 8) position is assigned docketing and operational responsibilities in a high-volume office with frequent, critical deadlines.

    This position must ensure court instructions are executed correctly and legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies.

    In addition, this Deputy Clerk will also be responsible for assisting Judges, attorneys, and all parties in a case both on the phone and in person with tact and courtesy.

    Assumes additional responsibilities other than those primarily assigned to the position as required by management.


    Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be detailed-oriented, data-entry experience, organized and able to multitask.

    Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills and advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software required.

    Court experience and experience handling money preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to lift/carry 10+ pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing, and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment, walking, sitting, standing, reaching, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.
