    Annual Salary:
    $80,000 + Full State Employee Benefits


    Job Responsibilities:
    Responsible for prompt and accurate month-end and year-end closing including account reconciliations and fund balancing.
    Prepares program invoicing and submits for payment approval.
    Maintains and ensures the accuracy of general ledger and accounting records.
    Prepares timely financial reports, accounting reports, and federal reports.
    Develop business processes and internal controls as needed.
    Cooperates with service and support divisions across the Agency, State and
    Federal Auditors, external partners, and vendors.
    Coordinates the preparation and submission of the Agency's annual GAAP Packages.
    Ensures compliance with Agency, State statutory, and Federal requirements.
    Enforces best practices of finance and accounting policies and procedures.

    Ability to build and maintain many Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, use common Microsoft Excel formulas, create pivot tables, maintain Access databases, and analyze large volumes of data for similarities and differences.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, public administration, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in professional accounting or auditing or closely related work, including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity;
    OR

    An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of professional accounting or auditing experience for each year of the required education.
