- Location: Taylor, Texas
- Schedule/Shift: PRN Night Position (12-hour shifts)
- shift time - 18:30 to 06:30
- Must be RPSGT Registered
- Conduct polysomnographic studies in a clinical environment, including oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure titrations.
- Score studies and prepare reports for physician review. Maintain detailed documentation of patient events following departmental protocols.
- Effectively communicate instructions, results, and relevant information to patients, physicians, and families.
- Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring proper functioning. Coordinate equipment repairs and maintain cleanliness for infection control.
- Consult with the Medical Director regularly on patient studies. Uphold standards for Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Control measures.
- Train and orient new Sleep Lab staff. Implement performance enhancements and facilitate staff development.
- Address concerns or issues promptly, offering actionable solutions to management.
- Keep a comprehensive Policy and Procedure Manual up to date.
- Expertise in Polysomnographic Care practices, therapies, equipment, and medications.
- Ability to interpret flow chart protocols, write reports, and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.
- Adherence to safety, infection control, and isolation procedures.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting audio and video equipment and advanced computer skills.
