    The Awty International School seeks a full-time Upper School Social Sciences Teacher for the school year. The school is looking for an energetic, creative person who interacts with students and colleagues in a professional manner and is eager to become part of our Secondary Faculty team. The position involves teaching 20 periods, plus other assigned duties. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.

    Minimum Requirements :

    • BA or equivalent in History, another social science, or Education
    • 5 years of full time teaching experience
    • Experience teaching U.S. History and/or World History in an Upper School setting Ideal Candidate :
      • Advanced degree in History and/or Education
      • Teaching certification or equivalent credential
      • Experience teaching advanced courses, such as AP or IB courses, or their university equivalents
      • Experience as an examiner, presenter, and/or workshop leader
      • Experience organizing and leading experiential education
