    The Systems Engineer is responsible The Systems Engineer is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of the comprehensive city information technology infrastructure which includes Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. As the Systems Engineer you will provide solutions, engineering, and operations that will ensure the delivery of a high-quality end-user experience while maintaining security and compliance. As the new Systems Engineer you will be responsible This position maintains and supports the comprehensive city information technology infrastructure.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Installs, configures, administers and maintains servers, user storage, systems security, and backup administration solutions.
    • Monitor, manage and maintain day to day activities of Azure environments, respond and address system alerts, notifications.
    • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
    • Oversees special projects and new technology implementation.
    • In conjunction with the ITS Security team, implement and maintain security and access controls as well as policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud and on-premises solutions are protected from data loss.
    • Maintains security, backup and redundancy strategies.
    • Serves as technical architect for the administration, security, development, messaging, and infrastructure design for collaborative and messaging environments.
    • Assists other department personnel with configuration and troubleshooting tasks (Tier 3 Support).
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information; with four (4) years of experience in installation, maintenance, and monitoring of complex communication and computer networks and related hardware and software; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience,

    •Network + Certification

    •Security + Certification

    •Any Microsoft Certification

    This position is a critical workforce position and safety sensitive.

    Work Location: various ITS office locations Work Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday

    Additional Requirements
    Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
