Position Purpose
The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Accounting and is primarily responsible for managing the accounting processes for the Community Tax segment, an affiliate of Liberty Tax Service, including the monthly close process, revenue recognition, and expense tracking.
Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/TasksManage a Staff Accountant and ensure all tasks are being completed accurately and on a timely basis
Manage / execute the monthly revenue recognition process under ASC 606
Manage / execute the monthly close process, including maintaining the closing checklist and accrual analysis
Analyze expenses / spend for key cost drivers, including payroll, marketing, and outside services
Preparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations
Preparation of monthly performance and variance reporting to Senior Management
Lead efforts to identify and improve processes and procedures
Review / monitor customer invoicing and outside lending partner receivables for compliance and accuracy
Other tasks as required, including cross-training with Accounting management.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of total experience with escalating levels of responsibility, including people management
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced excel skillsare required
Hands-on experience in the financial close process
Great Plains, Hyperion, and Microsoft Power BI experience a plus.
Spanish speaking a plus.

Position requires working at a desk at the corporate office for periods of time up to eight hours.
