- Assessment, evaluation and triage of patients with behavioral health care needs presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Serves as a member of a psychiatric resource team providing assessments, crisis intervention, debriefings, grief counseling, and consultation.
- Provides referral services throughout designated hospital units.
- Serves as a nursing consultant for patients on the medical detoxification critical pathway on designated hospital units.
- Demonstrates knowledge and fundamental skills necessary to organize, prioritize and delivery age specific care in a safe and appropriate environment.
- Provides supportive care to families of patients in crisis or at time of death as needed throughout designated hospital units.
- Is self-directed, demonstrating initiative and follow-through on projects.
- Seeks and supports opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Offers support and feedback to peers and staff. Applies principles of caring and healing in interactions with patients and families and with colleagues.
- Serves as coach and mentor for less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Certified, Licensed Certified Nurse Clinical Specialist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, RN that meets licensing requirements to practice registered nursing in the State of Maryland and 3 years of direct Behavioral Health patient care experience.
