    Hours:
    Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM


    Must-Haves:
    Minimum 3 years of experience with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.
    At least 1 year of experience in quantitative chemical analysis.
    Experience establishing ISO 17025 accredited methods.
    Proficiency in MassLynx, particularly in controlling various Waters mass spectrometry components.
    Solid phase extraction experience is highly desirable.
    Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related field.


    Job Description:


    This role at our Glenview, IL Kraft Heinz Innovation Center focuses on utilizing expertise in chemistry, biochemistry, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.

    You'll tackle industrial challenges related to measuring and characterizing small molecules to biopolymers across various areas such as ingredient authenticity, food safety, and optimization.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Develop project objectives and strategies in alignment with business initiatives.
    Execute projects and recommend action plans based on key findings.
    Provide significant impact on the direction and quality of work done by senior technical staff.
    Aptitude for managing complex analytical instrumentation.
    Evaluate communication skills and potential for technical leadership within a diverse organization.


    Relationships (External and Internal):
    Collaborate with internal clients including R&D and potentially plant personnel.
    Interact with equipment/instrument manufacturers, external lab partners, and suppliers.


    Qualifications:
    Hands-on expertise in solving complex problems using analytical techniques.
    Proficiency in quantitative chemical analysis and sample preparation techniques.
    Experience with chromatography data systems, preferably MassLynx, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
    Knowledge of ISO 17025 accredited methods and standard operating procedures.

    Bachelor of Science degree with 4 years of lab experience, or Master of Science degree with 2 years of lab experience, or PhD in a related field.

    Strong laboratory experimentation and data analysis skills.
